Morillon is a mature mountain village set in the heart of the Savoie region - its about a hour from Geneva by car. The skiing is unrivalled - check out the snow record ! Over 265kms of pistes mainly reds blues and greens - a few blacks for the experts . Trip across to Flaine , Samoens ,lez Carroz or Sixt and stop at one of the wonderful restaurants en route. We ski here about 4/5 times every year and are still finding new pistes !
Its superb for family skiing - the resorts tend to be a bit quieter and suit older mature folk or younger families , very rarely the younger wilder types as there isnt much night life.

Grand Massif / Morillon area one of the best ski areas in the whole of France .
Morillon 1100 is a satellite of the traditional Savoie village of Morillon . The village is set on the edge of the flat slope of the river bank and meanders parallel to the river its great to pop down on the cable car for the traditional market and sample the local fayre - the cheese stalls are amazing.
Morillon is the home town of Antoine Deneriaz, who won Gold in the men's downhill at the Turin Winter Olympics 2006, all over the town you will still see congratulation banners. The snow record is well above other resorts at the same level and is generally good. The slopes are also fixed with SNOW CANNONS providing a useful top-up early and late season (from mid-April).
The 'Village des Enfants', which cares for skiing and non-skiing children aged between 6 months and 10 years is the perfect place for your children to be left while you enjoy the freedom of the slopes.
The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Our stunning villa set on a private domaine has a panoramic view of the Esterel hills which provide spectacular walks and cycle routes for the more adventurous.
The villa also backs onto the Cannes Riviera golf course where you can enjoy the challenging 18 holes or simply practice your strokes at the newly renovated driving range.
Tennis lovers will find the local club just a few minutes away offering lessons or simply a court to challenge each other on!
Just 5 minutes in the car takes you to the typical french village of La Napoule where you can shop like the locals with a beautiful fruit and vegetable shop providing the most delicious seasonal foods, a bakery where you can enjoy a coffee whilst reading the newspaper and purchase your bread and croissants or treat yourselves to one of their divine tartes! Market day in La Napoule is Thursday, this is definitely the place to go for fresh local produce such as olives, tapenades and cheeses. Paintings, jewellery and clothes are also on offer at the market. Alternatively a short drive from the villa there is a large hypermarket providing everything you could possibly need for your stay.
The village has pretty beaches, beach side walks and two marinas where you will be able to charter any size of yacht, or motor boat you feel you can manage! Ferry boats also do trips to the Iles De Lerins famously painted by Picasso, explore the Chateaux where the Man in the Iron mask was filmed, or simply relax and enjoy the turquoise waters. Diving and sailing schools as well as all the usual water sports are on offer all the way along the coast line. This area provides the best water sports on the Riviera.
The Chateaux de La Napoule provides a striking backdrop for the village, with its beautifully kept gardens hosting a number of summer concerts and operas.
How to get there
Cheap budget flights into Geneva with plenty of operators from around the UK. Then a quick bus ride or hire a car.
